You will want to bring a few things with you to the session...

YOUR FAVORITE LINGERIE

Rather it is a new set you've never worn before, or something you have been holding on to, do not forget this one! Before the session, move around in it. Stretch it out. Be comfortable and be sure you love the way you look and feel in it!

A MATCHING SET

Grab a matching (okay, it doesn't HAVE to be matching) set of regular undergarments to bring with you. You may not use them, but some people opt for these rather than lingerie once we start the session. Either way, it is a good thing to have them on hand!

PS - This is especially cute for couples!

A T-SHIRT, SWEATSHIRT, SOMETHING SENTIMENTAL

Something that is not lingerie. Something to make the session feel more personal (yes, it is possible!). Larger t-shirts, swearers, and jerseys are the most common I've seen - but we have also added in construction helmets and other items into some sessions!

A PAIR OF SHOES

Heels, wedges, boots... whatever you like! I ask that you bring more than one pair, to ensure that if you change your mind in outfit, the shoes will match! Nude colors are my favorite (tans, whites, blacks), but bring what you are most confident and excited for!

TOUCH UP PRODUCTS

Makeup, removers, maybe a clear lip glass! I've had clients bring small sewing kits - you just never know!

LOTION

Some people want to put this on before the session - I recommend bringing it along to be safe. If you do opt for it, avoid anything with a tint or that has a lot of oils as it can cause discoloration on skin, clothing, and bedding.

EXTRAS

If there is anything you think you may want to incorporate, bring it along! I am always open to new ideas!

Wear what you want.

Wear what you want.

There are no rules to what you are required to wear. While I love a matching set for couples, sometimes we do photos with one in jeans and the other in lingerie. Sometimes we mix it up in the middle of the session.

Bring options because often times, people do change their minds. All of these are recommendations and things I have seen work in the past. I want you to be happy and enjoy the session!

Okay, so...

Now you know what to bring with you. Here are a some tips to help leading up to your session!

FAQ

DO:

Wear loose fitting clothing to the session - jeans and bras can leave marks on your body that will be visible in the photos. Opt for things like sweat pants or sundresses. If you wear a top, keep in mind that something like a shirt you can unbutton may be better than one you have to pull over your head to remove. KEEP IN MIND - socks leave marks too.

DO:

Move around and stretch - the clothing and yourself. You do not want to be stiff. You may be doing things like hanging off the side of the bed, or moving into positions your body is not familiar with.

DO:

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
You will want to be hydrated the days leading up to the session. Dehydration can lead to bloat and not feeling well - you want to look AND feel your best!

DO:

Get your hair and nails done IF this is something you would like to have done for the photos or something you normally do.

REMEMBER

Foods and drinks high in salts and sugars, as well as things like alcohol can impact how you look and feel the day of the session. You'll want to avoid too much salt, sugar, and alcohol leading ups to the session to avoid bloat and help your skin look best!

DO NOT:

Use hairspray the day of the session, or have your hair up with pins, hair ties, or clips. Feel free to bring these with you, should you decide to put it up, but you will want your hair to be easy to move around!

DO NOT:

Spray or self - tan leading up to the session. It can cause your tones to look off in the photos and discoloration of your clothing and the bedding. You will also want to avoid shaving or waxing the morning of the session (including your face!) as it can cause redness, swelling, and general irritation. If you shave leading to the session, be sure to use a lot of cream and follow up with a mild lotion that does not irritate your skin!

ALSO

You'll want to have the lingerie or outfit of choice on and ready (other than the clothing over it) when I arrive for shorter sessions - this gives us time to get you moving and comfortable in front of the camera, while also giving us time to capture an adequate number of photos.

WITH ALL THAT INFORMATION...

HAVE FUN

I know that these sessions can be intimidating, especially if you have not done one before. You may feel a little camera-shy at the start of the session - and that is totally normal. Allow me to work my magic and be your hype girl behind th camera, and we will be laughing and capturing beautiful photos in no time!
